New Sewing Adventures for 2014

Oh hello there! I have missed you so much! I know, I have been gone for a while. I took a little break from blogging over the holidays, but now I'm back and boy have I been busy sewing my little heart out.

First of all, some of you might know that I joined in on the DQS14 (Doll Quilt Swap round 14).  I was so excited to be picked as this was my first quilt swap.  It was the perfect chance to actually finish another quilt.  I know it is a mini, but it's a finish! I only have 4 other quilts waiting to be sandwiched and quilted.  Oh well, I will get to them soon hopefully.  For now I would like to share my finished DQS14 quilt.

I also made some dresses for a co-worker for Christmas.  I used the Bubblegum Wrap Dress pattern from Craftsy.  It is a very well written pattern.  I used the Swing Dress add-on for these two dresses.  I had the hardest time finding fabric to use for the bias tape to match my fabrics, but my dear hubby came to the rescue. He found the perfect shade of gingerbread gold/bronze. Who knew he would be helping me with my sewing, lol.

I also made 2 dresses for her daughters for Valentine's Day and a vest for her son.  This time I used the Poppy's and Opal's patterns by Create Kids Couture and the vest is Little Lads Vest by Angel Lea. Again, my hubby helped me pick out the perfect fabrics.

Then I have also made just some random outfits.  I'm thinking of opening either an Etsy shop or starting a Facebook Business page.  These are just different patterns I have by Create Kids Couture, Amelie and Henri, and Violet Fields Threads.

Well that's it for now guys and gals.  I'm off to bed see as it's 2:30 am and I am worn out.  It will be back to the sewing machine in the morning to finish up a couple of deadlines and another outfit.  Hope you are having a great 2014 and getting some sewing time in for yourselves.
